Princess Sophie is very resourceful sort of princess. And when the grumpy old giant at the top of beanstalk keeps everyone awake all night every night, she wonders if her favourite book of fairy tales might have the answer. She bravely climbs the beanstalk and first takes a tasty bowl of porridge, then a teddy to cuddle and even a cosy blanket, all to help the giant sleep. But, oh dear, nothing works until finally Sophie hits upon the perfect thing . .. the giant needs a story!
